Thanks in no small part to unprecedented levels of public support, the planning application DA/2015/0058 to change 130 Northampton Road from retail (Class A1) to hot food takeaway (Class A5) has been rejected by Daventry District Council.

Parish Councillor Neal Brown, who spearheaded the campaign on behalf of the owner of Northampton Pets and local residents, said, “Thank you to all the residents who attended the planning meeting in February to express your concern, and everyone who gave their time to voice residents’ feelings.”

Update: There’s an article about the refusal on the Chronicle & Echo website.
